In the photography world, timing and lighting is EVERYTHING!
Your session has been pre-planned at a very specific time of day.  Whether it's for convenience, family scheduling, or location availability, I'm always considering the best possible lighting.
That's why your mini session was scheduled later in the day!  "Golden Hour" happens 2 hours prior to sunset and really gives a dreamy, warm and complimentary lighting to the surroundings.  (Fingers crossed!  You never know when the clouds will roll in and additional lighting might be needed!)
Now you know, TIMING IS EVERYTHING!
I encourage everyone to arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time to allow families and children to get accustomed to their surroundings and perhaps even see another family be photographed.  Arriving early also gives you time to make any outfit or hair fixes, ask questions, etc.  Unfortunately, families arriving after their scheduled time may lose their time slot and rescheduling is contingent only on availability.
